This problem affects many people who work, mainly those who work in offices.
You're probably asking yourself: 'What is that thing of multi-tasking madness?'. Watch this video. You'll understand better what is it after watching it.
Well, is it clearer now?
As you've seen in the video, multi-tasking madness is a problem related to carrying out multiple tasks at the same time.
The brain of the human beings has a good ability to change from one though to another, but it isn't as good as it looks. If we start performing more than one task at the same time, we will have more difficulties to finish them, than if we did each one separately, because, while we're doing part of one, we're thinking about the other tasks and we can't concentrate on the one we're doing.
There are some advices over the Internet to help people with this problem.
- Estimate the time you need to perform a certain number of tasks and then make the difference between the time you needed to do those tasks and the estimated time. Then, use that difference to help you estimating the time you need to perform future tasks.
- Use an external memory to help you making lists of things you need to do. This will reduce your probability of forgetting to do something.
- Try to start a task and complete it without interruptions. You may need to turn off some things (like messenger, skype, cellular phone, etc.).
- You should take some breaks (watch films, go out for a walk, etc.), so you won't start being boring. For me, that's the most important one

Today I was trying to multi-task. But, as you show, it's hard to do more than one task at the same time and we end up losing more time than if we did one at a time.

Besides “being boring”, working to much can also affect our productivity and health. This is why employers should give employees a more flexible schedule.
